NPTI Conducts Cleanliness Drive under ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2026’
FARIDABAD NEWS 28 SEPT 2026 : GAUTAM : As part of the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2026’, officers and employees of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Sector-33, conducted a cleanliness drive at the Budhiya Nala Bridge area, Sher Shah Suri Marg, and contributed to keeping the surroundings clean while spreading the message of cleanliness.
The campaign, organised on the theme ‘Swachhata Mein Sahbhagita, Swachh Bharat–Viksit Bharat’, was conducted under the visionary leadership of Shri Hemant Jain, Director General, NPTI and Member (Grid Operation & Distribution), Central Electricity Authority (CEA), and under the guidance of Dr. Indu Maheshwari, Principal Director (Training), NPTI.
During the drive, officers and employees actively participated in shramdaan (voluntary labour) and cleaned the area of accumulated waste. They also encouraged members of the public to remain conscious of cleanliness and contribute towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment. The initiative aims to transform cleanliness into a people’s movement and ensure the active participation of all sections of society.
This year’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign focuses on five key pillars, with Jan Bhagidari (public participation) at its core. Special emphasis is being laid on creating awareness about the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, as well as the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders in effective waste management.
On the occasion, Dr. Vatsala Sharma, Director (Training); Shri Shekhar Ishwardas Mahant, Director; and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma, Director (Project), along with Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and other officers and employees of NPTI, were present.
