Media Department Organizes Workshop on ‘Generative AI in Graphic Design and Branding’
FARIDABAD NEWS 20 MAY 2026 : GAUTAM : The Department of Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, organized a one-day academic workshop for students on 'Generative AI in Graphic Design, Branding, and Advertising.' The primary objective of this workshop was to sensitize students to the emerging world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its effective application within the creative industry. The session began with the CMT, Chairperson, Prof. Pawan Singh, welcoming the guest expert, Dr. Abhijit Kumar Mohanty, by presenting a sapling.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Abhijit Kumar Mohanty, introduced students to the rapidly evolving landscape of AI, emphasizing that it should be utilized for 'creativity' rather than 'dependency.' He remarked, 'In today's era, AI has not arrived to replace human skills, but to enhance and refine them.

During the interactive session, Dr. Mohanty demonstrated how AI can be leveraged for brainstorming, streamlining workflows, and generating innovative ideas. He encouraged students to first identify their own strengths, interests, and vision, and then utilize AI as a 'smart assistant' to support their professional goals.

The workshop provided students with hands-on insights and discussions on several key areas, Developing effective branding strategies through AI.Creating impactful content and visuals using modern AI tools. Utilizing AI to solve complex challenges in design and advertising.
The session underscored the necessity of maintaining originality and a human perspective while using technology. Speakers urged students to remain future-oriented, experiment fearlessly with new technologies, and use these tools responsibly. At the conclusion of the workshop, Coordinator and Assistant Professor Ajay Yadav expressed his gratitude to Dr. Mohanty on behalf of the Media Department.
