FARIDABAD NEWS 11 DEC 2025 : GAUTAM ; In a major quality-focused initiative, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar today instructed all departments of J.C. Bose University of Science & Technology, YMCA, Faridabad to immediately commence intensive self-analysis and comprehensive documentation in preparation for the upcoming NAAC assessment under the newly introduced Maturity-Based Graded Accreditation framework.
Chairing the 19th meeting of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Prof. Rajive Kumar provided strategic directions to improve the university's visibility and impact. Earlier, Director-IQAC Prof. Komal Kumar Bhatia extended a warm welcome to all members and outlined the agenda, setting the stage for a focused discussion on advancing the University's academic and institutional stature. 
In his address, Prof. Rajive Kumar emphasized the need for an aggressive promotion of events, achievements, research outputs, and placement successes across print, digital, and social media platforms to enhance peer and public perception. Departments were urged to foster deeper alumni engagement through regular guest lectures, mentoring sessions, networking events, and other initiatives at the grassroots level.
Vice Chancellor laid special emphasis on unlocking the full potential of the Community College of Skill Development. He directed the University to actively participate in NIRF ranking under the newly introduced “Skill Universities” category and rapidly scale up Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programmes, building on the successful ongoing collaboration with SKODA Industries and forging partnerships with new industry players. He stressed upon research, innovation and consultancy activities for substantially increasing high-quality research publications, patents and sponsored projects in the coming year.
In a significant student-centric decision, the Vice-Chancellor asked for dedicated placement initiatives exclusively for students of non-engineering streams — Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and allied disciplines — to ensure equitable and enhanced career opportunities for every student irrespective of their programme.
The meeting also witnessed detailed deliberations on NEP-2020 implementation. All non-engineering undergraduate programmes have already been aligned with the National Credit Framework, while revision of the B.Tech curriculum is progressing swiftly to maintain uniformity across Haryana state universities without compromising the University’s unique academic priorities and industry relevance. Stakeholder feedback for 2023–24 and 2024–25 was reviewed along with actions taken by departments to further strengthen the teaching-learning ecosystem.
Members appreciated the marked improvement in placement figures for 2024–25, seamless conduct of examinations, enhanced transparency through the Samarth portal, submission of AQAR 2023–24 to NAAC, AA rating in SWAYAM-NPTEL, and the University’s ascent into the 151–200 band in NIRF 2025.
