J.C. Bose University Organizes Blood Donation Camp on National Cancer Awareness Day

FARIDABAD NEWS 06 NOV 2025 : GAUTAM : The Youth Red Cross Cell of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with Dr. Suraj Prakash Arogya Kendra, Faridabad, organized a Volunteer Blood Donation Camp on the University premises today, on the occasion of the National Cancer Awareness Day, 2025.
The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Ajay Ranga, Registrar of the University, who motivated the students to actively participate in the noble cause. The event was technically supported by the Youth Red Cross Cell of the University. Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, also graced the occasion and encouraged students to volunteer for blood donation.
The donation process was managed by the team from the Red Cross Society, ensuring hygiene, safety, and comfort for all participants. Donors underwent a preliminary health check-up to confirm eligibility. Post-donation, participants received refreshments and certificates of appreciation as a token of gratitude.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and staff, with notable involvement from female students. All donors and volunteers were honored with certificates of recognition presented by Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga. The event was coordinated by YRC Program Coordinator Dr. Navish Kataria, along with YRC Counsellors Dr. Ashima Sharma, Dr. Rahul Arya, Dr. Sunny Dholpuria and YRC volunteers.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajive Kumar, appreciated the initiative taken by YRC for organizing the Blood Donation Camp in the University. He emphasized that blood donation is a noble act and a vital service to humanity, fostering a sense of social responsibility among students. He further noted its critical role in saving lives, particularly for patients and accident victims.
The University officials expressed gratitude to the officials of the District Red Cross, Faridabad, for their invaluable support in making the camp a success.
