FARIDABAD NEWS 12 MAY 2026 : GAUTAM :  The Department of Management Studies, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, successfully inaugurated a two-day Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Administrative Efficiency in Higher Education Institutions” on 12th May 2026.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sunita Khurana, Former Director, Indian Institute of Secretariat Training and Management, and Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. Dean, Department of Management Studies, Prof. Ashutosh Dixit, provided a brief introduction and outlined the objectives of the Management Development Programme, emphasizing its significance in strengthening administrative competencies in higher education institutions. Chairperson, Department of Management Studies, Dr. Rajiv Sindwani, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and participants, while highlighting the importance of administrative excellence and continuous professional development for institutional growth.
Resource persons for the two-day programme, Dr. Meha Sharma, Deputy Registrar (Academics); Shri Manish Gupta, Deputy Registrar (Establishment); and Shri Sachin Gupta, Deputy Registrar (Examinations), were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Rajive Kumar emphasized the vital role of administrative efficiency in ensuring the smooth functioning and progress of higher education institutions. He appreciated the initiative undertaken by the Department of Management Studies and encouraged the organization of such programmes on a regular basis for the continuous professional development of administrative personnel.
In her keynote address, Dr. Sunita Khurana shed light on the critical role of administration as the backbone of any institution. She highlighted the need for handling administrative responsibilities with precision, sensitivity, and accountability, underscoring the importance of professionalism and dedication in institutional governance.
Approximately 50 participants, including administrative staff and faculty members, enthusiastically participated in the programme and attended the inaugural session.
The event was smoothly coordinated by Dr. Anushree Chauhan and Dr. Sapna Taneja, with active support from the faculty members of the Department of Management Studies.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem. The inaugural session set a positive and inspiring tone for the deliberations ahead and reflected the University’s strong commitment to enhancing administrative excellence and institutional effectiveness.
