Free Health Camp Organized During Rural Educational Camp in Pali Village
FARIDABAD NEWS 03 OCT 2025 : GAUTAM ; A free health camp was organized in Pali village by the Department of Communication and Media Technology, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with Zenith Hospital, Ballabgarh. This camp in Pali village was organized under the Rural Educational Camp, which is being conducted for the students of BSW fifth semester. The objective of this health camp was to provide primary healthcare services to the residents of the rural area and also to give students practical experience in the community field. A four-member medical team, led by Dr. Yashvi along with Satish, Dharmendra, and Pushpa, reached the village and provided various types of health check-ups and consultation services. This allowed the villagers to receive medical facilities right in their own village.
Camp convener Assistant Professor Dr. Akhilesh Tripathi said that under the guidance of CMT Chairperson Prof. Pawan Singh, the BSW students played an active and commendable role in the organization of the camp. The students went door-to-door to invite the villagers to the camp. They worked to spread awareness about health check-ups among the villagers. Due to their efforts, a large number of villagers benefited from this camp and received free health consultation. This camp not only became a medium for providing health services to the rural community but also proved to be an excellent educational opportunity for the students to understand rural health challenges, establish dialogue with the community, and gain practical experience in managing programs at the regional level.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Sarpanch Raghuvar and other members of the Panchayat. The Panchayat representatives praised this joint effort by the University and Zenith Hospital, calling it an important service for the rural community. This initiative reflects the department's commitment to socially oriented education, which not only connects academic knowledge with society but also develops a spirit of service and a sense of responsibility in the students.
