FARIDABAD NEWS 17 SEPT 2025 : GAUTAM : J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with District Red Cross, Faridabad, and Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Faridabad, organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp on the University premises today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The camp was inaugurated by Prof. Ajay Ranga, Registrar of the University, who motivated students to actively participate in this noble cause. The event was technically supported by the Youth Red Cross Cell of the University and the District Red Cross, Faridabad. Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, also graced the occasion and encouraged students to volunteer for blood donation.
The donation process was professionally managed by the medical team from the Red Cross Society, ensuring hygiene, safety, and comfort for all participants. Donors underwent a preliminary health check-up to confirm eligibility. Post-donation, participants received refreshments and certificates of appreciation as a token of gratitude.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 volunteers, including students, faculty, and staff, with notable involvement from female students. All donors and volunteers were honored with certificates of recognition presented by Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga. The event was coordinated by YRC Program Coordinator Dr. Navish Kataria, along with YRC Counsellors Dr. Ashima Sharma, Dr. Rahul Arya, and YRC volunteers.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajive Kumar, appreciated the initiative taken by YRC for organizing the Blood Donation Camp in the University. Prof. Ajay Ranga congratulated the organizers for the successful execution of the camp and lauded their efforts in contributing to this social cause. He emphasized that blood donation is a noble act and a vital service to humanity, fostering a sense of social responsibility among students. He further noted its critical role in saving lives, particularly for patients and accident victims.
