A book on ‘IoT and Machine Learning’ released at JC Bose University
FARIDABAD NEWS 02 SEPT 2025 : GAUTAM : A book titled ‘IoT and Machine Learning - A Comprehensive Guide for Smart Systems’ authored by Dr. Rohit Tripathi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, was launched during the Induction Program organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology for newly admitted engineering students.
The book was launched in the presence of distinguished academicians, including Prof. O.P. Sharma from IGNOU, New Delhi; Prof. Munish Vashishth, Dean (Institution) and Chairperson, Department of Electronics Engineering; Prof. Raj Kumar, Dean (FET); Prof. P.R. Sharma, Chairperson, Department of Electrical Engineering; and other faculty members of the University.
Dr. Rohit Tripathi, the author, introduced the book as an authoritative resource exploring the transformative potential of IoT (Internet of Things) and Machine Learning (ML) in developing smart systems. The book comprehensively covers the fundamentals of IoT architecture, types of ML algorithms, and their integration in applications such as healthcare, agriculture, industrial IoT, and smart cities. Structured into detailed chapters, it addresses critical topics including data collection, preprocessing, predictive modeling, real-time analytics, and security and privacy concerns in IoT and ML. It also tackles challenges like scalability, interoperability, and ethical considerations, enriched with practical insights, real-world examples, and case studies. This book serves as both a theoretical guide and a practical reference for students, professionals, and researchers aiming to harness these technologies to build smarter, more efficient systems across various domains.
A Ph.D. from IIT Delhi and a visiting fellow at the University of Western Australia and Cardiff University, UK, Dr. Rohit Tripathi is an academician with a robust portfolio. He serves on the editorial boards of prestigious research journals in the USA, Singapore, and India and holds two international patents and 15 national patents.
