One-Day Workshop on Sustainable Development Goals at J.C. Bose University
FARIDABAD NEWS 15 OCT 2025 ; GAUTAM ; J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, today organized a one-day workshop on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the critical role of sustainable practices in higher education and professional ethics. The workshop was convened by the office of Dean Institutions.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Munish Vashishath, Dean of Institutions, who outlined the objectives of the workshop and highlighted the importance of integrating SDGs into academic and professional frameworks.
Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University, delivered an insightful address, stressing the need for sustainable development in everyday life through small, actionable steps. He emphasized aligning all plans with SDGs to ensure optimal resource utilization and advocated for smart solutions to achieve these goals effectively.
The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Dr. B.P. Suneja, Professor and Dean (Retd.), RTU, Kota, spoke on Sustainable Development vis-à-vis Professional Ethics, underscoring the ethical responsibilities of professionals in advancing sustainability.
Prof. Sandeep Grover, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at J.C. Bose University, provided an in-depth perspective on An Insight into Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & Contribution of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), highlighting the pivotal role of academic institutions in driving sustainable progress.
Prof. Ajay Ranga, Registrar, J.C. Bose University, delivered a session on Mapping of SDGs with Academics, focusing on strategies to embed SDGs within academic curricula and institutional practices.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Manish Gupta, Deputy Registrar (Affiliation & Registration), who expressed gratitude to all speakers, participants, and organizers for their contributions to the event’s success.
