FARIDABAD NEWS 02 DEC 2025 : GAUTAM :  J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad is gearing up to host the prestigious 40th National Convention of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers and National Conference on the theme “IoT and Sensor Embedded IoT: Driving Smart Connectivity”.
This two-day event, scheduled for December 03-04, 2025, is being organized by the Faridabad Local Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI], the nation's largest multidisciplinary professional body of engineers with over 2.5 lakh members across 15 engineering divisions, in association with the university. The convention will bring together academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students to explore advancements in IoT and sensor-integrated technologies for a connected and sustainable future.
As Faridabad hosts this national-level event for the first time, it promises to foster meaningful collaborations between academia and industry, leveraging the region's status as one of India's largest industrial corridors with strong sectors in automotive, consumer electronics, machinery, and manufacturing. The conference aligns with key national initiatives such as Digital India, Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Smart Cities Mission, emphasizing technological self-reliance and innovation. Attendees can look forward to a total of seven technical sessions spread across the program, including oral paper presentations, poster sessions, a student project competition, a panel discussion, and an online session featuring around 65 research papers on sub-themes such as IoT for Smart Cities, Industrial IoT Solutions, Healthcare IoT Breakthroughs, Agricultural IoT Applications, IoT Security Frameworks, Energy-Efficient IoT Design, and AI-IoT Convergence.
Key highlights include a state-of-the-art lecture by Er. Narang N. Kishore on IoT innovations, Prof. S.K. Mitra Memorial Lecture by Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh on advanced information technology, a plenary keynote session by Brig. Adarsh Bhardwaj (Retd.) on industrial applications, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Division Board (ETDB) meeting, and a valedictory function with recommendations and memento presentations.
The inaugural session on the first day will be a major draw, presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Girish Shrikisan Mundada, FIE, Vice President, IEI. It will feature addresses by distinguished dignitaries, with Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice Chancellor, J.C. Bose University as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour include Prof. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhopal; Dr. Roger Kumar, Founder and Managing Director, Case Group; and Er. Narang N. Kishore, Mentor and Principal Design Architect, Narnix Technolabs, New Delhi.
A highlight will be the felicitation of eminent engineering personalities receiving the Life Time Achievement Award and IEI Young Engineers Award. The recipients include: Prof. (Dr.) Tara Singh Kamal, Professor of Practice, School of Science and Emerging Technologies, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University, Patiala; Er. L.K.M. Adhi, Managing Director, Knitvel Needles Private Limited and Elkayem Auto Ancillaries Private Limited; Dr. Roger Kumar, Founder and Managing Director, Case Group; and Young Engineer Ms. Swati Kumari, Senior Technical Officer, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.
Er. I.S. Oberoi, Chairman of IEI Faridabad Centre, expressed enthusiasm, stating that the convention will serve as a catalyst for innovation in IoT, addressing challenges like scalability, cybersecurity, and affordability while inspiring the next generation of engineers.
